In order of speed

  1. Ask in class. If you are confused, three other people are too.
  2. Check the concept page. Most “I don’t get it” moments are answered there.
  3. Come to a help session. Times are on Help Sessions.
  4. Email me. Include what you tried — it makes the answer far more useful.

What to say instead of “I don’t get it”

  • “I understand X, but I get lost at Y.”
  • “I expected A and got B.”
  • “I tried this and it did not work — here is what I did.”

Each of those gets you a real answer in one exchange rather than four.

Ask early

Science builds. A gap in circuits in week 3 becomes a wall in week 6. Nobody has ever annoyed me by asking a question too early.
